I walk to the rhythm of the rain.
As these vacant shells surround me,
marching proudly to their ill-infected ways.
Slight recognition, and I'm losing grip on everything.
My mind reels. I hear him say:
"You are not who you're supposed to be."
You are infinite.
We all belong.
"So come with me, as bolts of complacency crash against the storm."
A hail of clockwork hearts will fall alone,
and he will catch but one.
Time is of the essence, for our protection from the rain.
This light we radiate, brings us closer to the pain.
It won't stay away.
On the verge of tears I hear him say.
"You are not who you're supposed to be."
You are infinite, we are the alchemists.
Now it's created a change in me.
What ever happened to living for what we believe in?
(His eyes reflect the rhythm of everything this culture's hidden.)
Please, don't take this for granted.
Please, don't take this from me.
Somewhere someone holds the ground beneath me.
We all follow footsteps of what the past laid out for us.
We all make the same mistakes, and you'd expect the same from me.
As the storm breaks, I awake.
This horizon steals my breath away.
