I close my eyes.
This lifeless body is not me.
Everything and everyone around me is falling down.
In the tunnels light I'm stopped by a sign,
to rise above a crowd of hearts that beat in perfect time with mine.
He's ill-equipped, a silhouette, a genetic copy from his blood to his sweat.
It's as surreal as it gets and it's haunting me now.
Trapped in adaptions, distracted.
Where there's only one way in and one way out.
This stream of consciousness, the scream of the insomniacs.
We reel to this primordial ordeal.
"Step lightly, this culture's cracked so slightly"
These bones are brittle but this soul has got a score to settle.
What once was weakness gives me strength.
(This lifeless body is not me)
I feel this body rise again, as the crowded masses gather round me.
(This lifeless body it haunts me)
